I got asked to help with some background elements on another BBC sound bite animation being made by my coursemate Oliver Hamilton (Check out his blog here http://hamhead.tumblr.com/ )
I was asked to paint in a molehill in photoshop that would blend into the background. Below you can see how I layered the back and front so that the mole character (drawn by Ollie) could be comped in between.
